WHAT I DO IN A COUPLE OF SENTENCES

I’m a former mechanical engineer turned corporate lawyer with a focus on advising entrepreneurs. I take a practical approach to my advice, which is generally geared towards maximizing my client’s growth, and relates to formation, management, protection of assets, financing, contracting, and sale of a business.

MY FAVORITE PARTS OF MY JOB

The relationships, problem solving, and opportunities to teach. Whether working with an old friend, or meeting new ones, there is always an opportunity to learn, teach, and collaborate. The client's unique experience and ideas usually result in new problems to solve, turning the practice of business law into puzzle, and an opportunity to rework complicated problems and systems into something more simple and manageable. This is all at its peak when brainstorming with clients about various legal and business structures, or strategizing on the negotiation of a contract or transaction. Taking all of those pieces that don’t want to fit together, bringing elements to the table from past experience, integrating with the client's experience and needs, and coming up with a customized solution.
